Medical Billing Specialist
Remote | Canada-based
Transcend Virtual Office Assistants is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to support healthcare clients with accurate, timely billing submissions to the BC Medical Services Plan (MSP). This role is well suited to someone who is detail-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote, contract-based environment. Experience with midwifery and obstetrical billing is a strong asset.
Applicants must be based in Canada.
About the role
You will prepare, submit, and reconcile billing claims to the BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and appropriate follow-up.
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated experience submitting claims to BC MSP
Experience with midwifery and or obstetric billing
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to manage billing tasks independently
Comfortable working remotely in a contract role
